Le Chalet Clinic is Canary Wharf’s whole-body cryotherapy room: an electric, nitrogen-free chamber inside Canada Place Mall, a short walk from the Jubilee line, the DLR and the Elizabeth line. Most people who come here work within ten minutes of the door.

We are at 34 North Colonnade, Canada Place Mall, London E14 5HX— on the lower ground floor, Level −1, not at street level. Come into Canada Place, head down to the lower ground and find Waitrose & Partners; facing Waitrose, we are along to your left. The visit page has a floor plan and opening hours.

What a session involves
Whole-body cryotherapy here is a dry, electric chamber cooled to as low as −90°C. There is no liquid nitrogen and no gas: it works like a very powerful air-conditioning unit, which is why the cold feels crisp rather than wet, and why you can move around and keep your head in the cold with the rest of you.
You change into the garments we provide — shorts, socks, slippers, gloves, ear protection and a face mask — and a member of the team stays with you for the whole session. Three to four minutes later you step out, warm up quickly, and get dressed. There is no shower before or after, and your skin is dry when you leave.

Built for a lunch break
Counting five minutes to change either side of the chamber, the whole visit takes about fifteen minutes. That is the reason so many clients come from the offices around Canada Square, Bank Street and Cabot Square between meetings: it is faster than a coffee run, and you go back sharper.
You can train before or after — a session after the gym is popular — as long as you arrive dry, not sweaty. Many clients pair it with hyperbaric oxygen therapy in Canary Wharf: cryotherapy first for energy, or hyperbaric afterwards to slow back down.

What do I need to bring?
Nothing. Shorts, socks, slippers, gloves, ear protection and a face mask are provided; ladies also receive a sports bra. Just remove jewellery and any clothing with exposed metal.
